Five Torches Deep has an interesting method for generating a random map or dungeon using a Rubik’s Cube. You scramble the cube and then roll it like a d6. Each color on the face that lands up then has a different terrain, obstacle, or location. For example, white squares = open path, entrance, or clearing. And the arrangement of the colors corresponds to the arrangement of the elements in the map. Here is the FTD link at Drive Thru (I’ve got my affiliate link on here too): https://www.drivethrurpg.com/product/264584/Five-Torches-Deep?affiliate_id=845891

These will all come in very handy!:hushed:

Man I just found this and was super excited to finally have a useful link to share with y’all. Should’ve known it would have been spotted! For my Extra Life game I’m running 21 1-hour adventures and 1 3-hour adventure. I think these will be perfect 1-hour adventures and having to improv the details should keep me awake. It feels like just the right level of detail for a quick dungeon crawl with some improv overlay.

Uh. Guys. Look at the header. This is a thread for Random Dungeon Generators, not for product promotion. Also, @enn.in.me – you didn’t link anything.

This one is cool. It uses modular art and you can select in/out artists:

The “side view dungeon” is my favorite.

Ray–I was commenting that I was about to post this, but it has already been posted. The link is in Sean’s original post.

Hey Ray, not sure if you were commenting about my post, but FTD has a pretty cool random dungeon generator. That’s why I mentioned it. I wanted to provide the link for folks if they were interested. When you click the “share link” from DTRPG it includes your affiliate link already. I just wanted to be clear to anyone that my affiliate link was on there.

No worries, Ray. You’re just making sure we’re on topic.

This one is quite nice even though it is a paper and pencil exercise that doesn’t literally do the work for you.
